Information about the medical certificate
Medical certificates issued by physicians are valid worldwide provided they contain
• Name of the doctor
• Registration of the respective professional medical or specialist council (with signature and stamp)
• Number of weeks/months of gestation
• For international flights, the certificate must be issued in the customer's language (original copy) and be sworn translated into the languages of the countries of origin and destination.
Attention to deadline
The medical certificate must be issued up to 7 days prior to the boarding by the pregnant woman’s attending physician, and it is valid for 30 days, provided there is no change in the gestation code in the period until the return flight. If the passenger boards on the outbound flight between the 35th and the 36th week of gestation and at the time of the return flight has completed 36 weeks, it is necessary to present the Declaration of Responsibility and attestation with the updated number of weeks.
